Working towards being White Ribbon Accredited

Working towards being White Ribbon Accredited

On average, one woman a week is murdered by her current or former partner. 1 in 4 children in Australia are exposed to domestic violence. Australian statistics show the unfortunate impact that domestic and family violence has on families, particularly women and children. We’re dedicated to stopping violence in relationships and we believe that starts with our own staff, that’s why we’re working towards White Ribbon accreditation in our workplace.

Our journey to accreditation involves our ongoing commitment to support change in the broader community including the promotion of gender equality and respectful relationships within our workplace. Through participation in the White Ribbon accreditation program, we want to educate, raise awareness, undertake creative campaigns, implement prevention programs and highlight and support the positive role men play in this social movement.

Becoming a White Ribbon accredited workplace will build a strong internal culture of respect towards women within Relationships Australia NT and is a strong public acknowledgement of our commitment to zero tolerance of violence against women and their children.
