The Safe, Empowered and Reconnected program provides free counselling and support for children. The program is for children affected by Domestic and Family violence, aged 0-12 years old.
Our trained counsellor works with children and the family to :
create a safe space for the children to tell their stories,
help children make sense of their experiences,
identify their strengths, coping skills and abilities,
assist with ongoing engagement at school,
promote attachment repair with parent/s, families and /or safe adults.
To refer a child to the program, parents and carers will first need to speak with a counsellor. The counsellor will discuss the parent's and carers' concerns to determine suitability for the service.
Children ages 0-12 years old and their parent(s) or caregiver.
This is a free service.
