Aboriginal and Culturally & Linguistically Diverse supported services
We support all Territorians, regardless of their background. We understand that traditional family structures are diverse and we believe in strengthening families and supporting people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds to have positive, safe and respectful relationships.
We provide services that cater to community needs, including by tailoring services to meet the needs of the client groups with which we work. Our staff endeavour to work with members of diverse communities to provide information and assistance on a whole range of family issues.
LACA FDR provides family dispute resolution mediation in a culturally appropriate manner to clients who have experienced domestic violence or abuse, and who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander or who come from another country and language group (CALD).
The Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) Project tailors services to diverse community needs and to increase the numbers of CALD individuals accessing our services.
Aboriginal Building Connections (ABC) is a parenting education program designed to be delivered in a culturally appropriate group setting to give participants the opportunity to share experiences.
